Monthly Archives: April 2008 This past weekend I worked with the winner of a prize I donated to the Kirk of Kildaire auction held at McGregor Downs in Cary, NC. The prize was a portrait session and a 16×20 finished image (Plus the fact they got to work directly with me, which is priceless to begin with. ). Instead…  After a shoot this past week, another photographer and I were talking about different techniques for shooting and lighting. I decided to try something I had seen but never had the time to actually try. This lighting technique involves using a “cookie” (No, not like the toll house cookies) in between your light source and… no comments  I had the distinct pleasure of working with Kristina Maddry on her bridal portrait. We had planned on photographing at the Raleigh Little Theater rose garden but due to the weather, we ended up using a small studio in Cary, NC. Kristina didn’t have any preconceived notion of what she wanted for her portrait, so… no comments After a recent review of all the weddings, editorial and commercial photography projects I’ve posted on my blog, one thing immediately came to me… the photos were just TOO small! As a photographer, I’d be happy to see my work full size on everyone’s computer screen but the technology for that just doesn’t exist on… no comments |
