Architecture in Durham, NC

John Warasila of Alliance Architecture, the company that designed the wonderful meeting space for Rigsbee Hall, saw my photos from a monthly NACE event and contacted me to photograph some of his other designs. As it turns out, the space above Rigsbee Hall (and behind it for that matter) are condominiums designed by John and he wanted me to photograph them for his company. Since I hadn’t seen one previously I wasn’t sure what I was going to find when I arrived. Well, I’ll have to let the pictures speak for themselves but the property is amazing! John managed to save much of the historical feeling of the building - exposed brick, ceiling joists, etc. The condominium I was in had a great ultra-modern feel that nicely accentuated John’s design.
