Well, I am at the point where I can finally let the cat out of the bag. Brian Mullins Photography LLC now has an official office space.

After a long search looking for just the right space, I finally found the perfect location for a photography office in downtown Apex, NC. Located on N. Salem Street (right in the middle of historic downtown Apex), the 2nd floor office has 2 rooms and plenty of room to shoot studio portraiture should the need ever arise (have already done my first portraiture here). I completely underestimated the amount of time and energy it takes to make a photography space look and feel the way I wanted so I expect some more changes in the near future.

I am so absolutely excited to have had such great clients over the past 4 years and this office is a tribute to my love of wedding photography. It will be awesome to meet my Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and destination wedding clients in an actual office.  I will be announcing a “gathering” in the very near future but, for now, I have just a few photos for you.

I have been so blessed to have great clients, venues and vendors to work with, support and, at time, cheer them on.

One of the things I’ve always had a bit of hesitation about was my logo & branding. My old logo was fitting to my style, a little traditional with a little modern thrown in. As my photography style has evolved over time, I felt it was important to update my logo to fit.

Many thanks to Sarah & Andrea @ Paperwhite Press in Cary, NC for their wonderful design and printing of my new logo and cards – not to mention my constant change of mind and incessant calls. It may sound a bit egotistical to brag about a business card, but let me say, these things are bad to the bone and I’m very proud to have them as part of my new branding.

So, welcome to my new look! Here’s a shot of my card so you can see what i’m talking about!

I have been blessed with probably the absolute most wonderful brides, grooms and families any wedding photographer could ask for. I’m a bit melancholy about entering a new year, as I feel my past clients will fade a bit, but at the same time I get excited when I think of all the great weddings I have booked already this year.

The new year is going off with a bang as I will exhibiting at the 2009 Bridal Show in Raleigh, NC. If you’re still looking for wedding vendors, photographers or just getting your wedding planning underway, the bridal show is a great place to meet everyone.

Hi everyone,

What’s that saying… with great risk comes great rewards? I’d like to add “…and greater problems” to that as well. With the addition of my super slick, fuel-injected, turbo-charged photo cart, it appears I broke the internet. Well, my little slice of it anyway.

Some of you may have noticed the photos would stop loading and, sometimes, the entire site would be down. Well, these problems were directly related to my server being unable to handle the sheer amount of transactions needed and it would, in essence, take a break.

To remedy the problem, I have purchased a new domain & server that is dedicated to my photography cart. This should make your viewing (and hopefully purchasing) experience much more pleasant. I am waiting for my SSL certificate to be finalized before I make it live but that should happen within 24 hours.

As always, if you experience any difficulties with the new cart/server, please let me know immediately so I can look into it.

You’ll still access it from the same place and I hope you are as excited as I am about the new system.

The downside of this is I won’t rank as high in google rankings but the upside is the flash website is SO much nicer to look and listen to. Very slick presentation and I think it will really help the impact of my photography. Hudson was born on March 2nd, 2008 at exactly 2pm EST. He weighed in at a healthy 8 lbs 3 oz and is 21½ inches tall. Born two weeks early, both Momma and baby are happy and healthy. Momma is resting comfortably and Daddy is drained from the lack of sleep and excitement/pace of the day.

Finally got my blog up and running despite the lack of help from Godaddy. Actually, I should be fair and say the guy did attempt to help me but they just don’t setup blogs very often. He recommended I download their version of Wordpress, which just doesn’t appeal to the geeky side of my personality. A couple of google searches later I found the issue and had it resolved.

Note to other bloggers – even though WP says the database name of localhost will work for 99% of configurations, godaddy falls in the 1% that doesn’t.
