Raleigh Engagement Session with Christy and Charles

Location: Yates Mill Pond Park – Raleigh, NC

Here’s another engagement session that I never got around to blogging about. Sorry guys, it’s here now, in all its glory, on the front page of my shiny new blog. :)

Christy, Charles and I, literally, just hung out a bit on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Yates Mill Pond. With the leaves changing for fall, the wonderful autumn weather and how much Christy & Charles are in love with each other… well, it made the photography easy. When I met Christy & Charles initially, we definitely got along and, not to sound weird or creepy, but we just clicked. Seeing them for this session was, quite literally, just like seeing some longtime friends for a great day out in the park. I can’t remember how long we actually shot, but it literally just flew by and before we knew it, the sun was going down.

With their wedding fast approaching, I cannot wait to work with them again! Stay tuned for a beautiful wedding and reception on April 24th, 2010!

Stacey & Craig | Engagement Session | Chapel Hill & Durham, NC

Well this one is better late then never.  I photographed Jeremy & Stacey’s engagement session back in October 2009 and am just know getting it put up. Yes, I know.. bad photographer!  Smackies!!!

Jeremy & Stacey has a couple of ideas on where they wanted their e-session.  One was at the Old Well on the UNC Campus in Chapel Hill, NC and the other was Bay 7 @ the American Tobacco Campus in Durham, NC.  As I love shooting in both of these places I was really excited, so much so that we ended up shooting well past sunset.  Both Jeremy & Stacey were so comfortable in front of the camera it made getting great photographs of them a snap!  From the Old Well we went to the kissing bench where we captured, of course, a wonderful kiss.  Of course, I had to have a little fun with them and adjust my camera several times while they re-did it.  :)   We moved on to the outdoor sculptures to the garden then back to our cars to head over to the Bay 7.

If you have not been out here before, I highly recommend you make the time.  It’s such a unique space that has been beautifully renovated and includes a lazy river, many restaurants and other businesses that you will certainly enjoy your time spent.  If you follow my work you will know I love architecture and this place really just has a wonderful “feel” to it.  I really appreciate you both freezing in the name of photography!!!!

As always, here area  few shots!
