Just before Christmas, I got a really wonderful gift – the 2013 Edition of Southern Bride & Groom. Over my past eight years as a professional, I’ve done quite a lot of work as Commercial Photographer in Raleigh and my favorite subject is food – which is exactly the work I did for the latest edition of SB&G. Photographing food is one of, in my opinion, one of the most technically demanding aspects of commercial photography as you have so many elements to work with. The food itself (obviously), the preparation, the venue, the magazine layouts and the lighting. Each shoot was on location and there are many complex instructions that we give our chefs to make sure the food looks its best.
