Looks like I’ve got a lot of blogging to catch up on. After an amazing 2014 the smoke is finally clearing and we’re getting back to blogging some of our weddings! I’ve been really excited to post this one as both Amy & Devon (and their families) were an absolute joy to work with and their wedding was really a beautiful affair.
Amy, like quite a few of our clients, live out of town so we had been in close communication throughout the wedding planning process as well as the bridal portraits. So when the day of their wedding finally came, we were really excited to meet both of their families and friends. Their wedding, held at the beautiful Duke Chapel, was, of course, gorgeous! I’ve photographed quite a few weddings at Duke Chapel but it remains one my my absolute favorite places to capture a wedding – from the amazing architecture to the staff, it’s always a joy to be there.
Interestingly enough, I had never photographed a Cotton Room Wedding Reception so I was excited to get into a new location (which is also gorgeous by the way) and take some amazing images. The Cotton Room is a gorgeous backdrop for weddings and receptions with it’s open layout, beautiful floors and exposed wood beams. The reception was, well, let’s just say it was a blast and I have photographic evidence of how much fun everyone had!
I hope you enjoy a few select photos from Amy & Devon’s Duke Chapel Wedding and Cotton Room wedding reception!
