I am so happy spring has finally arrived. Winter really felt like it lasted forever and I was itching to get outdoors to do some family portraits in nice weather. When I first started talking with Charlotte & Zach, we were deciding on exactly where would be the best location. Zach is a huge NC State fan so I had suggested we visit Carter Finley stadium on the North Carolina State University campus in Raleigh, NC. They both loved the idea and we met up on a beautifully sunny morning.
When we arrived, we immediately headed to the Wolf Statue in front of Carter Finley Stadium to start things off. I always like to start off with “set” photography that is very traditional in nature. That way, we have those in the bag and can start working towards fun stuff after-wards. I think we got 3 shots, maybe, before we moved right into the “fun” section of the family portraits and, well, as that’s what I really love doing anyway, you get no complaint from me. Zach ended up donning his NCSU football jersey and helmet for some more dynamic photography in front of the main entrance of the stadium. A little more moving around with lots of fun photographs, our stomachs called for a halt to the session.
Zach & Charlotte – Thank you so much for having me out to photograph you. I really enjoyed the session and I think you will love the family portraits we got of you both.
