Family Portraits | Jenn, Chris & Cale

As I’ve mentioned in the past few months, I have been branching out into more genres of photography lately and my latest post is no different. I know there are a ton of places you can already get family portraits in Raleigh NC but, at the same time, I think I bring a different perspective then many other Raleigh Photographers so, more and more, I am picking up new clients. Jen is actually another photographer and wanted new family portraits of her, her husband and baby boy for their wall. I, of course, was happy to oblige.

We had plans to visit downtown Apex, where my photography office is located, to shoot some more urban and “downtown” type portraits but the weather decided we should stay indoors. Working at someone’s home actually has alot of advantages, especially when working with babies as they feel more comfortable in familiar surroundings. So, we instead shot in and around the house with Jenn & Chris having fun with Cale (and with each other).

After we wore out poor Cale, it was a perfect time to grab a few unique baby portraits of him as he was cooperating at this point (i.e. sleeping). I’m just kidding here as I really enjoy photographing babies and Cale was so much fun to work with (not to mention squishy and cute as a button).
