Tag Archives: downtown Raleigh After a lovely break in August (let’s face it, getting married in August is great, but wow it’s hot), I climbed back onto the wedding train (hahaha) with Mandy & Cary’s wedding at the Hayes Barton Church and reception at the Stockroom in downtown Raleigh. Mandy & Cary probably look somewhat familiar if you follow…  What a busy week! Wow! Photography season is definitely here and the beautiful spring weather we have been having is a real help for my portrait photography sessions. What a GREAT looking couple. Your images are so nice, crisp and clean. Love the compositions and your use of light. My favorites are the 9th or 10th one down, where she is smiling and you can’t see his face. Then the one’s where they look like they are standing in front of a “go around” door. Maybe a hotel lobby or something. All the squares and lines are great!

The Bliss girls really like the way the shoot went from “day to night”. So often engagement photos are stagnant, meaning beautiful photos, but one dimensional. It’s really nice to see this couple transition before our eyes. Great job! We second Rev. Barbara Lodge’s comment!
