Again, the opportunities I get to meet and photograph interesting people in the area are astounding. I know people who would pay for my job – not much, but I could wrench a quarter or so out of them.
I worked with the new Mayor of Cary, Harold Weinbrecht, in his office for a little more informal portraiture work. I got a chance to listen to Harold speak about his plans for Cary, including growth, the impending drought and other various topics. I was very impressed with his style of speaking on important issues, something I can best describe as “casual candor”. I just found out today that Cary has over 100,000 people living in it, making it the seventh largest city. “It’s no longer a bedroom community of Raleigh” was one memorable quote from the Mayor. It was my pleasure to work with him today and I look forward to seeing him around Cary in other events. As always, here’s a few photos from the session:
