As a wedding and commercial photographer, I often try and find ways to “give back” to my local communities in Raleigh, Cary and Apex. I came across something this evening that I found to be an extraordinarily good idea. Xerox is offering to send a member of the armed forces a “thank you” card on your behalf, at no charge, overseas. No matter what your feelings on the war are, we have tens of thousands of troops overseas and in harms way this holiday season. Many of them have left families, sons & daughters here to try and stabilize a very dangerous part of the world.
Again, this isn’t about your or my feelings on if we should even be over there. It’s about letting the troops over there know we haven’t forgotten them.
So, without further ado, I highly encourage you to visit the following website and send someone a card. You don’t get to pick out who, but what better way to celebrate the holiday season by letting someone over there know they are in your thoughts.
