I’m continuing my marathon wedding season this week with a fabulous TPC Wakefield Plantation Wedding. Kim & Mark were married in Raleigh, NC at the St. Phillips Lutheran Church. One of the things I truly love about photography and weddings in particular are the challenges we face and must overcome. For example, St. Phillips does not allow photography during the wedding service but I really wanted to get some great photos for my clients during the actual ceremony. So I spoke with the priest and he gave me the OK to photograph thru a window in back. Now, I do kinda wish I had brought some windex with me but the photographs turned out pretty good considering I was outside the actual sanctuary for the wedding ceremony.
After the wedding, we went immediately to the beautiful TPC Wakefield Plantation (Past Falls Lake Dam in Raleigh, NC). I have been dying to get out here because, number 1, it is a beautiful place to photograph and, number 2, Jacqueline Parks is awesome to work with (Jacqueline runs all the wedding events at TPC Wakefield). Upon arriving, we immediately walked around the fabulous grounds to photograph the couple and get some “alone” photos from their wedding day. I really enjoyed photographing both Kim & Mark as they literally just fell into positions. I really prefer a natural look to my photography and they were naturals!
Soon after that, Steve from Joe Bunn DJ Company spun up the dance floor and kept everyone moving & shaking until it was time to leave Wakefield through a great sparkler sendoff as the couple drive off into the night in their golf cart! Congratulations to you both and thank you so much for your hospitality!

RC Patton - NC Wedding Video - I am a fan! You have another set of fabulous photographs for this couple to treasure for the rest of their lives. You always seem to catch those special moments that so many photographers miss at a wedding. The special glances between two people that tells you how much they care. Great work!
