Kelsey & Cameron are one of my favorite type of client… friends of previous clients! I shot Cameron’s brothers wedding (Dorothy & David) a while back and when they called me about shooting their wedding, I was beyond excited. What made this even nicer was it being at a beautiful church I had never worked in before (1st presbyterian church in downtown Durham) and then having their reception in the amazing old well room at the Carolina Inn.
When I first met Kelsey and Cameron they both were so excited with having a Carolina Inn Wedding that I think we talked more about the venue then the rest of their day. Of course, it’s an amazing wedding venue & hotel with an incredible staff so we definitely had a lot to talk about!
Kelsey got ready at her parents home which is one of my favorite places to photograph a bride getting ready. I’ve shot in many different locations but it always seems to be more special when the photos show something personal, like her parents home when we go back and look at them. The house was, of course, decked out for the wedding and I got to do some cool photos in Kelsey’s old room.
After the wedding ceremony, we all headed over to the Carolina Inn wedding reception in their amazing Old Well room. One of my favorite decorations was an old, functional, manual typewriter that people could write notes on and put it into an old suitcase.
We had such an amazing time working with them and seeing all of their family and friends. I hope you enjoy a few photos from their wedding!
