Personal Project | Bree

Like almost everyone else, I made several new years resolutions this year.  Get in shape, eat better, spend more time with my kids, etc.  One of the resolutions or goals I also set for myself was to shoot more personal projects.  About 95% of the time I am shooting in the field for weddings, portraits, senior pictures, etc.  So my personal project involved going indoors, breaking out my studio lights and working with a professional model.  The end goal was to push my own artistic boundaries with lighting and to work with a professional model who excels in that environment.

As I have a studio space in downtown Apex, we decided to put it to good use and shoot in a few spare rooms I have access to.  I really wanted to minimize the amount of materials we used so I even went sans backdrop, which can make things interesting when playing with gels on lights.

I cannot say enough good things about my model for this.  Bree was a consummate professional and it’s absolutely amazing what a talented model brings to a collaborative photography shoot like this.  So, without further ado, please enjoy some of my Raleigh modeling photography work.

** Please note – there is no nudity but there is quite a lot of skin in some of the below photos **
